Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation and Setup:
-
Install and set up equipment, machinery, or systems at customer sites according to technical specifications.

Ensure that all installations comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Conduct on-site testing of equipment to verify functionality and ensure proper operation.
-
Provide training to customers on how to use the installed systems or equipment.
2. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
-
Perform routine maintenance on equipment or machinery to ensure optimal performance.
-
Troubleshoot technical issues on-site, diagnosing problems and performing necessary repairs.

Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, or software issues by following diagnostic protocols.

Respond to emergency repair requests and provide rapid on-site support to minimize downtime.
3. Customer Support and Communication:
-
Serve as the primary technical contact for customers regarding equipment performance and issues.

Offer advice, technical support, and troubleshooting assistance to customers on-site and remotely (if applicable).

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and continued business.

Communicate effectively with customers to understand their concerns and provide clear instructions for troubleshooting or maintenance.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
-
Maintain accurate service records for each job, documenting repairs, installations, maintenance tasks, and customer interactions.

Complete detailed reports on work performed, parts used, and any recommendations for future service or upgrades.

Submit reports and time sheets in a timely manner, ensuring all service-related paperwork is completed and submitted according to company procedures.
5. Inventory and Parts Management:

Maintain a well-stocked inventory of parts, tools, and equipment for on-site service.

Ensure that the correct parts are ordered for future service appointments.

Coordinate with the service department or warehouse to ensure timely delivery of necessary parts and materials.
6. Training and Development:
-
Continuously update technical skills and knowledge through ongoing training and development programs.

Attend manufacturer-specific training sessions to stay informed about new technologies or systems.

Assist with training junior engineers or new staff, sharing technical expertise and knowledge.
7. Health, Safety, and Compliance:
-
Follow all safety protocols and adhere to health and safety regulations while performing on-site work.

Ensure that all installations and repairs are carried out in compliance with legal and company standards.

Ensure that all equipment and tools are safely operated and properly maintained.
