Job Description
We are seeking motivated and hands-on Field Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation and functioning of devices on-site, especially in agricultural environments involving cattle. This role requires close interaction with farmers and frequent field visits across designated states.
Install and ensure proper functioning of devices at customer sites.
Handle cattle during installation and demonstration processes.
Monitor and troubleshoot device performance.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Work closely with farmers to ensure effective usage and adoption.
Support farm and cattle management initiatives.
Conduct regular field visits; be open to extensive travel.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation and Commissioning:

Carry out installation of new equipment or systems at customer locations as per company protocols.

Perform system startup, testing, calibration, and commissioning activities.

Ensure that all installations comply with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.

Provide basic training or user demonstration to clients after installation.
2. Maintenance and Servicing:

Conduct periodic preventive maintenance (PM) for installed systems or machines.

Check components, replace worn parts, clean equipment, and update service records.

Identify and correct potential issues before they lead to system failure.

Follow maintenance schedules provided by the service management team.
3. Troubleshooting and Repairs:

Visit client locations to diagnose problems or breakdowns reported by users.

Identify root causes through inspection, testing, or use of diagnostic tools.

Replace or repair faulty parts, update software (if applicable), and retest system performance.

Minimize equipment downtime and restore normal operations quickly.
4. Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain detailed service records including job sheets, maintenance logs, and client signatures.

Record equipment status before and after service, parts used, and time taken.

Report recurring issues or customer concerns to the technical manager.

Ensure documentation is submitted timely and accurately via mobile apps, emails, or service portals.
5. Customer Communication and Support:

Communicate clearly with customers before, during, and after service visits.

Provide guidance or basic training on proper equipment usage and care.

Handle complaints or difficult situations professionally and escalate when necessary.

Maintain a courteous and respectful attitude at all client sites.
6. Compliance and Safety:

Adhere to all safety guidelines and company protocols while working on-site.

Use proper protective equipment (PPE) and tools for each task.

Follow environmental and quality standards, especially when handling electrical components or hazardous items.

Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the service manager.
