Job Description

  • As a field sales representative, you will be tasked with the sale of products and services to prospective customers within a specific geographical region. 
  • It is different to being a general sales rep because you are required to travel to either find new customers or maintain existing relationships. 
  • There are a variety of products and services you could specialise in including insurance and software for example. 

Here are some of the duties you may be asked to perform as a field sales rep:

  • Generating revenue and finding new customers
  • Coming up with creative ideas to be used in marketing campaigns
  • Forecast sales targets
  • Attending various sales events including meetings, seminars and training.
  • Use of sales database and applications.
  • Preparation of reports and statistical data.
