About the internship
This is a full-time on-field role for a film direction intern. The film direction intern will be responsible for assisting the director to develop and implement the creative vision of film/TV projects.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Assist with pre-production, casting, location scouting, script review, and costumes
2. Support the director during filming by working with other crew members
3. Assist with set design, costume selection, and shot selection
Qualifications:
1. A passion for film and knowledge of the industry
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
4. Ability to multitask and work independently
5. Ability to take direction and adapt to changing situations
6. Ability to stay organized, meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
7. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
8. Relevant coursework in film, media or communication studies is a plus
9. Prior experience in film or TV is a plus
10. Knowledge of local/state industry regulations is a plus
