Job Description

Finance Consultant - Internal Financial Control - Pune, Maharashtra

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparation of test scripts
  • Notification of planned testing/request for evidence to the control owners
  • Conducting the control test
  • Writing up the control test with appropriate result and rationale, including clear description of any failure points, exceptions or observations
  • Notification to the control owners of the result, and population of same on local IFC database files
  • Population of IFC test results in local tool (ICON) used by the entity for reporting
  • Management of ICON tool which will include but is not limited to extraction of monthly reports, user review analysis
  • Updating IFRS SAD and SII SAD of previous years
  • Preparation of reports, presentations on various reporting sets to local committees and to Group IFC team
  • Planning of individual workload to meet deliverables
  • Escalation of any issues or concerns to line manager in timely manner
  • Performing operating effectiveness tests for Copernic common controls (FSCP) and some ELC and IT ELC controls

Key skills:

  • Chartered Accountant with 2-3 years of post-qualification experience in audit. Even candidates with other certifications like CIA, CISA can be considered
  • Reading and writing knowledge of French language will be an added advantage
  • Prior experience in an audit firm and technical expertise in planning and managing audit or performing risk audit
  • Experience in a shared service centre environment can also be considered
  • Ability to interact with all finance organisations at group and entity level
  • Ability to speak up and to propose improvements in processes
  • Strong customer relationship management skills
  • Able to work autonomously with little or no guidance
  • Prior experience to manage teams and variety of stakeholders
  • Good logical, analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively
  • Ability to identify issues and risks and propose resolution
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise work
