Job Description

Design & Detail Engineering knowledge and experience of the latest Codes, Standards, etc. Such as NFPA, FM Global, TAC, OISD, NBC, etc. And relevant Codes of BIS, ASME, ANSI, etc.
Should be able to design Fire Fighting systems both Internal and External.
Should be able to select the correct fire pumps and equipment for the project.
Should be able to design sprinkler/ hydrant systems for the respective applications.
Should have knowledge of pipe sizing for automatic sprinklers, extinguishers & related fire alarm systems.
Should have knowledge of system designing and execution.
Should have good knowledge of costing and estimation along with budgetary components.
The Fire Fighting design engineer will be responsible for initial designs, amendments, as fitted, and zone plan drawings for all Fire Protection Systems Familiar with all International standards for Fire Fighting like NFPA, ASHRAE, ASNT, ASME, Building codes, IPC.
Proficient in ELITE Fire Protection Systems for Hydraulic Calculation.
Should be able to design the Fire Alarms system.
Should be proficient enough in Smoke Management System. Classification of Fire Hazards, Pipe Sizing, Sprinkler layout, Fire Pump Sizing, Firewater demand, and standard installations.
Head and Hydraulic calculation, Pipe Sizing & selection of fire pumps. Designing of Firefighting Systems (Pumping, Hydrant, Sprinkler, Clean agent systems, etc.) as per NFPA.
Good Knowledge of NFPA Standards.
Responsible to perform basic design calculations and coordination.
Responsible for the preparation of design, tender packages, bill of quantities, the scope of work, general concept, execution, and coordination drawings for piping requirements.
Review of Hydraulic Calculations for the entire system.
Preparing drawings – Tender, Design & Final Drawings for preparation of shop drawings.
Installation of Internal Network Sprinkler System (Wet & Dry), Stand Pipe (Fire Hose Cabinets & Landing Valves), External network for Fire Hydrant, Pump room, FM 200, Deluge Spray systems, and Pre-Action System.
Shop drawings preparation and Material submittals (Pump, valves, Zone Control Valves, Landing Valves, Pipes, Fire Hose Cabinets, Fire Hydrants, Fire Extinguishers, Sprinklers Upright
