Job Description

Fire Watcher Duties

  1. Monitor hot work activities such as welding, grinding, and cutting to prevent fire outbreaks.

  2. Ensure all combustible and flammable materials are cleared or adequately shielded.

  3. Maintain continuous observation of the work area for sparks, flames, or smoke.

  4. Be equipped with fire extinguishers, fire blankets, and other emergency response tools.

  5. Raise immediate alarms in case of fire and assist in evacuation.

  6. Remain at the work site for a designated period after hot work is completed to monitor for hidden sparks or delayed fires.
