Constructing structural components from raw materials.
Using welding equipment to fuse structural components.
Inspecting fabricated components to ensure that they are the correct size.
Utilizing shears, power saws, cutting torches, and chipper knives to cut structural components as needed.
Install and service motors, pumps, compressors, and heat exchangers; repair and replace bearings, seals, and belts; inspect, adjust, and test HVAC systems
Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on refrigeration systems
Document work processes and results, using computer-aided drafting equipment
Use power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, hydraulic tools, and other equipment
Assume responsibility for shift change
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to work in environment with extreme temperatures
Knowledge of mechanical construction technique
Ability to read blueprints and schematics
