Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for hardworking and experienced Fitters to join our team at construction project sites in Chennai. The ideal candidate should have basic knowledge across various fields of construction, with hands-on experience in fitting, assembling, and installation work. The role involves working at active construction sites, assisting in the installation and maintenance of structural, piping, mechanical, or metal fittings. You must be physically fit, safety-conscious, and willing to work long hours on-site under varied conditions.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform fitting and installation work at construction sites as per the project’s requirements.

Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, or technical instructions.

Use tools such as grinders, welding machines, drilling machines, cutting torches, and other power tools efficiently and safely.

Assemble metal components, frameworks, supports, or other structures using bolts, screws, rivets, or welding equipment.

Carry out measurements and markings as per required specifications.

Conduct basic maintenance, repairs, and alignments of installed parts or structures.

Work closely with site engineers, supervisors, and other tradesmen to complete assigned tasks on schedule.

Assist in lifting, shifting, and placing heavy components using cranes, pulleys, or manually.

Ensure quality of fitting work and adhere to safety and construction standards.

Support other departments or trades (civil, electrical, plumbing) when needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience at construction sites or industrial settings.

Basic knowledge of fitting and general construction-related tasks.

Ability to work with a variety of hand tools and equipment.

Understanding of safety protocols and willingness to follow PPE guidelines.

Team player with a good attitude and a strong work ethic.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Must be physically fit and capable of working under hot, dusty, or noisy environments.

Basic welding knowledge is an added advantage.
