Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- The main responsibility of a flash designer is to create an interactive web interface for designing project related flash based animation.
- Flash designers must possess required knowledge about the flash program and other Internet technologies related to interaction design principle and its usability.
- Responsibilities of a flash designer and flash developer are similar, but flash designers are more capable in performing front-end processes like illustration and graphic designing, while flash developers are more skilled in performing web development experience and back-end coding.
- Creating and designing flash-based designs, maintaining its fundamental quality, and translating the designs into animation
- Developing customized animation by translating the script as per the clients' requirement, developing sketches, storyboards, test animations, etc., before creating original animation, and coordinating with the creative and technical team for developing a customized solution for the client as instructed by the head designer
- Collaborating with the creative team for developing the animation project as per the industrial standard, handling various tasks like concept development, approach to presentation, storyboarding and visualizing general perspective required for presentation
- Assigning various responsibilities to the research team regarding information collection, consumer-based research orientation, and use of image references and other materials relevant to the project; assigning various tasks to the production team and preparing project details accordingly within the committed deadline
- Conducting regular research on latest multimedia trends and various presentation methods of representing animation, researching various media production tools and techniques for improvising the content of the design, and devising various creative/technical enhancements to the overall graphical content accordingly
- Collaborating with creative producers and directors for building a complete flash-based website with all interactive features, working in collaboration with the sales and marketing team for creating interactive presentation/environment for corporate settings
- Coordinating with the creative team, project team members, and clients for including the necessary requirement in the project, producing an illustration, photo enhancements, and retouching, special effects, etc., in the product when required, and analyzing suitable photo/video quality, sound balance, and illustration for creating quality animation products
- Participating in team/department meetings for discussing project requirements, assignment strategies, and workflow procedures, adhering to budget limitation, and other norms and policies issued by the organization for creating the assigned project, and completing the assignment before the scheduled deadline
- Coordinating with external resources, third-party vendors, and other web hosting companies regarding project completion as per the company policy, maintaining the complete collection for finished and unfinished work separately, and using these samples from stored project assignments accordingly.
- Required Skills and Qualifications
- The basic qualification required for accomplishing the responsibilities of the flash designer is associate/bachelor's degree in web and multimedia designing, animation, graphic designing, or other degrees in the related field of web designing.
- Along with this, they should be skilled in using flash based program for designing graphical illustration and should have adequate knowledge of flash-based motion development, animation building, and action scripting.
- Along with the basic educational qualifications, one should also possess certain technical skills for accomplishing the responsibilities successfully.
- One should be proficient in handling the latest Flash software and its alternatives efficiently.
- Also, they must have extensive knowledge of the software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dream weaver, Flash, After Effects, Max, Maya, etc., which are used extensively in designing.
- Proficiency in programs like HTML, MySQL, XML, PHP, JavaScript, AJAX, ASP, Cold Fusion, etc., is also considered.
- Along with technical skills, one must also possess certain soft skills like good oral and written communication skills, excellent drawing and animation skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- He must be creative, innovative, and focused towards work. Also, he must be able to work independently and with the team, and possess organizational and time management skills.
