Position: Floor Manager
Department: Operations
Location: SMS Hospital, Chandkheda, Ahmedabad
Reporting To: Hospital Administrator / Operations Manager
Qualification
- Master's in Hospital Administration (MHA) – Mandatory
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (preferred)
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in hospital operations, floor management, or patient services.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of assigned hospital floors.
- Ensure smooth patient flow from admission to discharge.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, housekeeping, security, and other departments.
- Resolve patient and attendant queries, complaints, and service issues promptly.
- Monitor cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control practices on the floor.
- Ensure patient safety and compliance with hospital policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor staff attendance, discipline, grooming, and performance on the assigned floor.
- Conduct regular floor rounds to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Coordinate bed management and patient transfers.
- Prepare daily operational reports and escalate issues to the Hospital Administrator.
- Support NABH standards and ensure compliance with quality protocols.

- Knowledge of hospital operations and patient care processes.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, Hospital Information System).
