Job Summary:
The FLS - Front Line Sales Executive – Bancassurance is responsible for driving insurance sales by working closely with branch staff of partner banks. This role involves generating leads, understanding customer insurance needs, offering suitable insurance products, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Working at the intersection of insurance and banking, the FLS plays a key role in tapping into the bank’s customer base, conducting regular branch visits, and achieving business targets through effective relationship management, lead generation, and solution-based selling.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Target Achievement

Achieve assigned sales targets for insurance products (life, health, or general insurance).

Identify opportunities to cross-sell insurance during customer visits at the bank.

Convert bank walk-ins and referrals into insurance sales.

Promote a variety of insurance products including term plans, ULIPs, child plans, retirement plans, and health insurance.
2. Bank Branch Relationship Management

Build strong relationships with branch managers, loan officers, and front-line staff at the partner bank branches.

Conduct regular branch visits to engage and train bank staff on insurance products.

Ensure that the bank team is aligned with sales goals and equipped to identify insurance leads.
3. Lead Generation and Follow-ups

Follow up on leads generated through the bank database, referrals, and daily interactions.

Conduct customer profiling to understand financial needs and suggest the right insurance solution.

Ensure timely follow-up, proposal form filling, documentation, and closure of sales.
4. Customer Handling and Servicing

Meet customers directly at the branch or through appointments to explain insurance plans.

Provide complete information about product features, benefits, premium terms, exclusions, and claims process.

Ensure smooth onboarding and policy issuance by coordinating with operations and underwriting teams.

Provide post-sales service and policy servicing as needed (renewals, endorsements, claims assistance).
5. Documentation and Compliance

Collect all necessary documents, KYC, and medical reports as per regulatory and company requirements.

Ensure 100% accuracy in application forms, proposals, and customer information.

Adhere to all compliance, AML, and IRDAI regulations regarding insurance sales and documentation.
6. Reporting and Coordination

Maintain daily activity reports, lead trackers, and sales logs.

Report performance to the Bancassurance Sales Manager or Area Sales Manager.

Coordinate with the bank and internal teams for smooth processing of applications and policy issuance.
Skills and Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:

Graduate in any discipline (Commerce, Business, Finance preferred).

Certification in insurance (IRDAI license) may be required or provided during onboarding.
Experience:

Minimum years of sales experience, preferably in insurance, banking, financial services, or bancassurance.

Freshers with good communication and an interest in financial sales can be considered.
Sales and Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of insurance products and financial planning.

Ability to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.

Proficient in using digital sales tools, CRM, and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Comfortable with documentation, application filling, and compliance processes.
