Job Description

We are pleased to announce that we are hiring for the position of Food and Beverage Associate for one of the units of Ambuja Neotia Group in Kolkata.
**Salary:** Net ₹11,600/- per month, plus ESIC, PF, bonus, service charge, and tips.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Guest Service:

Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival.
Present menus and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., about ingredients, special dietary needs, portion sizes).
Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to kitchen or bar staff.
Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in during meals and addressing any concerns or special requests.

2. Table Setup and Maintenance:

Prepare tables by setting up linens, cutlery, glassware, and other tableware.
Keep dining areas clean and organized before, during, and after service.
Clear used plates, utensils, and glasses and reset tables promptly for the next guests.
Assist with rearranging seating or handling reservations and table assignments.

3. Order Handling and Billing:

Use POS (Point of Sale) systems to enter orders and process payments.
Provide accurate bills, collect payments, and return change or payment confirmation to guests.
Handle cash, credit card, or digital payments responsibly and follow billing procedures.

4. Product Knowledge and Upselling:

Stay informed about menu items, daily specials, promotions, and pairing recommendations.
Suggest food and beverage pairings or upsell special items to enhance guest experience and increase revenue.
Maintain knowledge of allergy or dietary restrictions and ensure compliance with guest requests.

5. Team Collaboration:

Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other service team members to ensure smooth service flow.
Attend daily briefings and staff meetings to discuss menus, events, or service-related updates.
Cooperate with supervisors and managers to resolve customer complaints or service issues effectively.

6. Health, Safety, and Hygiene:

Follow all hygiene, cleanliness, and sanitation standards set by the company and health authorities.
Handle food and beverages in a safe and hygienic manner at all times.
Wear appropriate uniforms and personal grooming as per company policy.
