Job Description
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
- Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
- Prepare and cook mezza according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and mezza preparation checklist.
- Monitor mezza quality while preparing.
- Set-up and break down work stations.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure food presentation and taste meet quality standards.
- Experiment with new recipes and improve existing ones.
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, assigning tasks efficiently.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
- Enforce food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Design and update menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Balance taste, nutrition, and cost in menu creation.
- Introduce new culinary trends and techniques.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders for ingredients and supplies.
- Reduce food waste and manage kitchen expenses effectively.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
- Ensure food safety standards and regulations are met.
- Monitor food storage and preparation processes to prevent contamination.
- Conduct kitchen inspections and staff training on hygiene practices.
- Interact with customers to understand their preferences and special requests.
- Adjust recipes and cooking techniques based on feedback.
