Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Civil Maintenance Supervision (Foreman Role):

Supervise and manage a team of maintenance workers, masons, plumbers, and helpers.

Allocate tasks, monitor daily work progress, and ensure timely completion of all civil repair jobs.

Perform inspections of buildings and infrastructure to identify maintenance issues such as leaks, cracks, or structural wear.
-
Coordinate with engineers and facility managers regarding material needs and job priorities.

Maintain logbooks and maintenance records for routine and emergency work.
2. Technical Assistance:
-
Support the civil engineering or maintenance team by taking measurements, preparing surfaces, and managing tools and supplies.

Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and civil drawings.

Assist with setting out work, concrete mixing, curing, plastering, and minor carpentry.

Prepare sites for repair and restoration by clearing debris and ensuring safety compliance.

Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and labor teams as directed by senior engineers or managers.
3. Fitting and Plumbing Work:

Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems including pipelines, drainage systems, valves, faucets, and sanitary fittings.

Carry out minor welding, cutting, and fitting of pipes, brackets, and fixtures as per requirement.

Inspect fittings for leakages or corrosion and repair or replace them as necessary.

Use tools like wrenches, saws, soldering torches, and threaders in a safe and skilled manner.

Troubleshoot plumbing issues in residential, commercial, or industrial areas (e.g., toilets, sinks, water tanks, overhead tanks).
4. Site Coordination and Safety:

Monitor work site for compliance with safety regulations and company protocols.

Ensure proper use of PPE by self and subordinates.

Report accidents or near-miss incidents immediately to the supervisor.

Maintain a clean and organized work area to avoid hazards.
5. Material and Inventory Handling:

Keep track of tools, plumbing fittings, pipes, cement, sand, and other construction or maintenance materials.

Raise requisitions for required materials and ensure proper usage without wastage.

Store and maintain tools in working condition and report any damage or loss.
