We Offer
Product Control are the Financial Guardians of the Bank's trading activities. We are a global function employing around 800 people, present in offices across EMEA, APAC and the Americas. Our crucial role is fulfilled by ensuring complete, accurate and timely P&L, Balance Sheets and analysis. We also conduct the independent validation of the value of our trading portfolios and work with the businesses and the new business product groups to evaluate & integrate new products and businesses into our financial environment in a controlled manner. Product Control also guards the banks trading activities via the provision of reliable and relevant financial information provided to the business managers, external business partners and other relevant internal constituents. Importantly, we also execute controls to detect unauthorized trading or unusual activity and raise issues in a timely manner to senior management.
The CFO UK Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function is responsible for providing all future planning, forecasting and business analysis at the legal entity level, with a focus on the UK entities. The function plays a critical part within the broader finance organization.
The team supports the CFO for the UK legal entities, and the CEO and deputy CEO in executing their roles on behalf of the board of directors.

The Role
The UK FP&A function is split into three core areas:
- Reporting and Analysis
- Cost and Expense Management
- Planning and Forecasting
- Responsible for preparing and analyzing financial information relating to the performance of the three main UK legal entities. This encompasses the sourcing of information, data mining, interpreting and analyzing significant amounts of data covering all aspects of revenues, costs and pre-tax income.
- Frequent interaction with the business and other partners to acquire commentaries and explanations to provide context to support the financials. The ability to provide analysis and present the results in clear and concise reports is key to the delivery expectations of our senior business partners.
- Seek to deliver and execute the reporting and cost/expense management processes to the London based UK FP&A function. This includes daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and semi-annual business deliverables, and various adhoc activities based on business partner's requests.
- Gain understanding of the financials of the three UK entities and drivers of revenues, costs and PTI. This knowledge will be essential for maintaining financial spreadsheets and models, and will provide opportunities for driving efficiencies and operational improvements.

- A professional finance or accountancy qualification such as ACA or CFA or MBA (Finance). Degree level education with an overall mark at least 2.1.
- Previous experience (3-5 years) working in a finance function especially in FP&A function of an Investment Bank or Financial Institution
- Outstanding numeracy and literacy, excellent attention to detail and experienced analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills at all levels as well as a collaborator and a self-starter
- Proficiency of Hyperion, PeopleSoft and Essbase
