Job Description
Pepper (www.peppercontent.in) is building a global content marketplace that brings companies and content creators together to scale up content creation processes across 10 content verticals and 150+ content categories. Over the past 2.5 years we’ve worked with brands like India Today, Amazon India, Adobe, Swiggy, Dunzo, Businessworld, Times Group, Digit, Wittyfeed, YourStory etc. along with 350+ brand companies like BookMyShow, UpGrad, Yulu, Paisabazaar, Zivame, Yatra, Bewakoof, Imarticus Learning etc. to create content that is meticulous and customized according to our clients' needs.
Now we are in a rapid expansion phase to scale up our content verticals and thus we are looking for Freelance Editors to join the 'Pepper Cloud' who can work with our Editorial Team.
About the Role :
- You get exposed to a wide range of content types where you are principally tasked to review and edit articles. We are looking at subject matter expert editors across the following categories -
- Healthcare
- Banking, Finance and Insurance
- Legal, Accounting and Taxation
- Technical/Deep Technical - AI/ML/Cybersecurity
We will be choosing you based on your expertise in ONLY one of the above categories.
- We are looking at high-quality editors who have strong subject matter expertise across multiple domains and can rate content pieces on multiple parameters.
- You will also be exceptionally well-organized as you’ll be working on a number of different projects at one time.
Job Responsibilities :
- Edit & proof-read the content as per detailed briefs and go beyond grammar and vocabulary to highlight specifics
- Optimize content using SEO best practices and ensure that all guidelines are followed while ensuring that the quality of the content meets a certain benchmark.
- Fact-check articles based on industry-specific output and ensure that the quality of the creator pool is accordingly evaluated based on your feedback of their performance.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5-6 years of experience in the Editorial segments
- The ideal candidate excels in a deadline-driven environment and is comfortable providing in-depth reviews to their peers.
- Demonstrated background in content marketing, media, and publishing with a speciality in copy editing.
Candidates who have had strong experiences at a particular industry or have had positions of Content Editors/Managers there will be preferred
Commitment: Freelance Role / Editing Minimum 20,000-25,000 words a day
Job Type: 6-7 hours a day (Monday-Saturday)
Salary: INR 25,000 - INR 30,000 per month (Depending on the experience)
