Fresher Accountant
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Entry and Record Maintenance
-
Record day-to-day financial transactions in the accounting system accurately and promptly.

Maintain proper filing of vouchers, invoices, receipts, bills, and other accounting documents.
-
Support in maintaining ledgers for income, expenses, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
2. Invoice Preparation and Billing
-
Assist in preparing customer invoices as per the terms and formats provided.
-
Ensure that GST and other applicable taxes are correctly applied to all bills.
-
Send invoices to clients and follow up for payment where required.
3. Bank and Cash Reconciliation
-
Help in reconciling bank statements with the company’s internal ledger.
-
Identify discrepancies and inform the senior accountant or supervisor.
-
Assist in tracking daily cash flow and maintaining petty cash records.
4. Tax and Compliance Support
-
Learn and support the filing of GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory requirements under supervision.
-
Organize tax-related documentation and help ensure accurate record-keeping.
-
Understand basic income tax, company compliance, and ROC filing procedures (training will be provided).
5. Reporting and Analysis
-
Generate standard reports such as expense summaries, sales reports, and cash flow statements.

Assist in monthly closing activities by providing accurate data to senior accountants.

Help in preparing balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, and trial balances.
6. Audit Preparation
-
Assist in preparing and organizing documents required for internal and external audits.

Support auditors with data extraction and documentation.
-
Rectify errors or omissions pointed out during the audit process.
