Job Description
We are seeking a frontend web designer with 6 month to 2 year experience. As a frontend web designer, you will be responsible for the user interface of websites. Candidates must have a working knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as a basic understanding of user interface and user experience (UI/UX) design. You will be responsible for converting wireframes and mock-ups into reusable code and creating high-quality UI components with scalability in mind.
Responsibilities
- Transform mockups and designs into front-end code with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Creating HTML5, CSS3 based web layouts
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs with designers
- Build web applications with web development best practices
- Debug errors, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine performance optimizations
- Write high-quality, scalable, and reusable code
- Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to the back-end
- Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends
- Work with back-end developers to integrate UI components
Key Skills
- Working knowledge of developing modern, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Strong knowledge of javascript basics concepts
- Knowledge of JavaScript libraries such as jQuery and Bootstrap
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- Proficient understanding of web markup, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3
- Excellent knowledge of Bootstrap CSS framework
- Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
- Strong knowledge of web standards
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
- Fair understanding of JavaScript programming and DOM manipulation
- Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that the application will adhere to them
