Your Role and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the design, development, enhancement and maintenance of strategic metering solutions for cloud managed services. In this role you must leverage your expertise in cloud and data processing technologies to deliver secure, reliable, scalable and flexible metering and billing services in an agile development model that integrated across the GTS Infrastructure Services delivery organizations.
- Understand various requirements about metering and billing from different cloud services.
- Design/develop REST APIs and implement the required business logic.
- Automate data processing pipeline via Kubernetes, Kafka, Spark, and NoSQL DB.
- Troubleshoot/resolve production issues and support critical client engagements
- Build skills in new technologies, write up technical documents, and comply with security compliance.
- Operate in an automated CI/CD model leveraging GitHub for Code Repositories.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Minimum 5+ years of application development and minimum 3+ years of operational experience in an IT domain
- Expert level fluency in NodeJS/JavaScript and REST API development, proficient in Node.js modules/packages, asynchronous programming, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with, designing, and deploying production-grade data processing applications using Kubernetes, Kafka, Spark, NoSQL DB, Object Storage or related tools, familiar with Cloud Native and Microservices principles and practices
- Working knowledge of Windows/Linux OS, server logs and SQL query
- Expertise in translating IT requirements in the design, development, and assembly of components to create fully automated and integrated solutions.
- Deliver functional and technical designs, models, components, code, unit tests, and documentation
- Familiarity in developing with GitHub / Jenkins and other CI/CD tools
- AWS/Azure/IBM Cloud experience is a plus
