Position Overview
We are seeking a Garment Salesman for our ladies garment shop to provide exceptional customer service, drive sales, and ensure an excellent shopping experience for our clientele. The ideal candidate should be energetic, presentable, and knowledgeable about women’s fashion, fabrics, and garment styles.
The Garment Salesman plays a crucial role in assisting customers in selecting garments, maintaining store appearance, and achieving sales targets. This position requires a customer-oriented mindset, persuasive communication, and an understanding of fashion trends.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Assistance & Sales

Greet customers and provide a friendly, professional shopping experience.

Assist customers in selecting garments based on style, size, and preference.

Provide information about fabric, fitting, price, and latest offers.

Maintain knowledge of current fashion trends and popular garment styles.

Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize sales per customer.

Process payments and handle billing accurately at the checkout counter.
2. Store Maintenance & Merchandising

Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.

Display garments neatly on racks, mannequins, and shelves.

Arrange new stock according to seasonal trends and store guidelines.

Conduct stock checks and inventory management with accuracy.
3. Customer Relationship Management

Build long-term relationships with regular customers.

Handle customer complaints and concerns politely and efficiently.

Provide post-purchase support and advice to ensure customer satisfaction.

Maintain a positive and approachable demeanor at all times.
4. Sales Targets & Reporting

Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets as defined by management.

Maintain records of sales, returns, and customer preferences.

Report to the store manager regarding customer trends, sales performance, and stock requirements.
5. Coordination & Teamwork

Work collaboratively with fellow sales staff and store management.

Assist in training new staff members on sales techniques and store policies.

Participate in promotional campaigns, discount sales, and festive events.
