G. B. Pant National Institute Of Himalayan Environment invites application for the position Junior Project Fellow

Project Name- In-house project entitled “Water Security in Himalayan through Spring-Ecosystem Assessment and Management”

Position: Junior Project Fellow (1 No.)

Emoluments: Rs. 20,000 pm +Rs. 1800 HRA

Essential: M.Sc./M.Tech/B.Tech in Remote Sensing and GIS or Computer Science Engineering/ Information Technology with first class from the recognized university

Desirable: Minimum six month experience in handling RS/GIS software including ERDAS Imagine and Arc GIS. Knowledge of satellite image classification, GIS Modelling, Knowledge of GPS/DGPS survey and good writing &communication skills.

Responsibility: Field visit for data collection/ground truth using GPS/DGPS Baseline data compilation over suitable GIS platform Different thematic map generation Data synthesis and analysis GIS modelling Technical Report writing Any other activities as assigned by officials

Age Limit: 28 years
