Institute funded project on ‘Fostering Climate Smart Communities in the Indian Himalayan Region’

1. Position : Junior Project Fellow (01 Post)

Monthly emolument : Rs. 20,000/ p.m. + HRA

Post Code : PC-02

Essential Qualification :  1 st Class Master Degree in Geoinformatics / Environmental Science / Climate Science / Physical Science / Earth Science, or allied subject.

Desirable Qualifications:  
(i) Experience of environmental data collection and analysis.
(ii) Knowledge of working with statistical software
(iii) Experience of Satellite image processing and handling of image processing software
(iv) Working experience in High altitude region of the Himalaya

Nature of work : 
(i) To play an active role in work related to the project activities, data acquisition, analyses and interpretation, and participation in field work.
(ii) Assisting in organizing relevant consultations, workshops, conferences, seminars involving diversestakeholders
(iii) Any other scientific/technical jobs that may be assigned from time to time

Mainstreaming landscape approach of biodiversity conservation, improved livelihood and ecosystem health in India, part of Kailash Sacred Landscape (NMHS-UBB, MoEF&CC)

Nature of work : Field based research for data collection on socioeconomic profile, community based forest management, restoration approaches, and their analysis, report writing and Knowledge product development

Place of work: Kailash Sacred Landscape, district Pithoragarh
