Job Description
Role: GCP Data Engineer - Bigquery / Vertex AI
Role & responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain BigQuery data pipelines and data warehouses.
- Load data into BigQuery from a variety of sources, including cloud storage, on-premises databases, and streaming data sources.
- Transform data using BigQuery's built-in features and third-party tools.
- Query data using BigQuery's SQL engine and visualization tools.
- Work with stakeholders to understand their data needs and to develop data solutions that meet those needs.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest BigQuery features and best practices.
Preferred candidate profile
- Should have worked with large volumes of data and processing data at massive scale.
- Overall 6+ years of hands-on data engineering experience.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in BigQuery or a similar cloud data warehouse.
- Experience with data loading, transformation, and querying.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform.
You should have
- Excellent written, verbal communication and client-facing skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or a related field
- The ability to quickly grasp new concepts and learn new technologies
- The traits of a self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented, responsible team player
