Position: General Manager
Role Overview
The General Manager oversees all operational, financial, and administrative aspects of the hospital, ensuring efficient management, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient care. The role requires strategic leadership, operational excellence, and coordination across clinical and non-clinical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership for hospital operations, including clinical, administrative, and support services.
- Develop and execute strategic plans, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor financial performance, budgets, revenue streams, and resource utilization.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards (NABH/JCI), and statutory requirements.
- Supervise department heads, administrative staff, and interdepartmental coordination.
- Oversee patient care quality, safety, and satisfaction metrics.
- Plan and implement hospital growth, expansion, and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Manage vendor relationships, procurement, and contracts.
- Resolve escalated patient or staff issues professionally and effectively.
- Report to hospital board/trustees and provide performance updates and strategic recommendations.
- Drive continuous quality improvement and staff development programs.

- Knowledge of hospital operations, healthcare management, and regulatory standards.

Qualification & Experience
- Education: Graduate/MBA in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, or equivalent.
- Experience: 7+ years in hospital management or healthcare administration preferred.
- Certifications: NABH/Healthcare management certifications desirable.
