Job Description

1. Name of Post: General Manager (Rolling Stock - Maintenance)

2. No of Post: 01

3. Service: IRSEE / IRSME - Level 13 / 14, in pre-revised Pay Band Rs. 51300-73000 with Grade pay Rs. 10000 / 8700 in regular service

4. Scale of pay for deputation post: Parent pay plus Deputation allowance and other applicable allowances

5. Location: Bangalore

6. Tenure of deputation: Three years and extendable further

7. Qualification – Degree in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Electronics and Communication/Mechanical Engineering. 

i. Should be in SAG/NFSAG or equivalent grade with proven track record of minimum of Fifteen (15) years of Group ‘A’ service.
ii. Should have a minimum of five (05) years’ experience, out of fifteen (15) years in EMU / Electric Loco Shed, handling large value procurement tenders for Rolling Stock Works through ICB process, including preparation of technical specification, design, review, evaluation, interfacing, testing & commissioning in Railways / Railway Construction / Railway PSUs or any Metro Rail project.
iii. Should preferably have experience and knowledge of coordinating and interfacing with other System disciplines and Civil wing, safety aspects relating to Rolling Stock Works

8. Other desirable requirements: Knowledge of Kannada will be an added advantage. Experience of working in any Metro project is desirable.
