Job Description
Lead and manage all administrative, financial, and operational functions of the hospital.
Ensure smooth coordination between departments including medical, nursing, HR, finance, housekeeping, maintenance, and procurement.
Develop and implement strategic plans for hospital growth, service expansion, and quality improvement.
Oversee budgeting, cost control, revenue cycle management, and financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, statutory requirements, and accreditation standards (NABH, NABL, etc.).
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement process improvements.
Foster a culture of patient-centric care, employee engagement, and service excellence.
Represent the hospital in community outreach, government liaison, and corporate partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations and Facility Management:

Oversee daily administrative and operational activities of the hospital.

Ensure all departments such as front office, housekeeping, security, billing, and IT function seamlessly.

Supervise hospital infrastructure, maintenance, biomedical equipment, and vendor management.

Monitor housekeeping, hygiene, biomedical waste disposal, and fire safety protocols.
2. Patient Experience and Service Quality:

Implement and monitor systems to ensure superior patient service delivery and minimal wait times.

Resolve escalated patient grievances and ensure timely follow-ups.

Ensure patient registration, billing, discharge, and records systems are accurate and efficient.

Work with quality teams to achieve and maintain NABH, JCI, or ISO certifications.
3. Strategic Planning and Execution:

Develop strategic plans for hospital growth, patient volume increase, and new service lines.

Identify areas for revenue optimization and operational cost reduction.

Collaborate with senior management and board members to meet institutional goals.

Initiate partnerships with other hospitals, corporates, insurance providers, and TPAs.
4. Financial Oversight:

Supervise budgeting, financial planning, and cost control in collaboration with the finance department.

Monitor departmental expenditures and ensure financial accountability.

Track KPIs such as average revenue per bed, occupancy rate, patient turnaround time, and billing efficiency.

Work on pricing strategies, reimbursement, and government healthcare scheme participation.
5. Human Resource Management:

Oversee recruitment, training, and evaluation of administrative and support staff.

Ensure proper deployment, scheduling, and attendance management of personnel.

Support HR policies related to staff welfare, compliance, and professional development.

Facilitate training programs for non-clinical staff on customer service, safety, and hospital protocols.
6. Compliance and Legal Affairs:

Ensure hospital operations comply with local/state medical regulations and licensing norms.

Liaise with government health departments and manage inspections, audits, and renewals.

Maintain statutory records and documentation required for regulatory compliance.

Ensure legal and insurance requirements are up to date, including medico-legal case handling.
7. Technology and Information Systems:

Oversee implementation and maintenance of Hospital Information Systems (HIS), EMR, and digital platforms.

Promote digital transformation initiatives like online appointments, e-payments, and telemedicine services.

Ensure data security and compliance with privacy regulations (such as HIPAA where applicable).
8. Marketing and Business Development:

Support the marketing team in planning outreach programs, health camps, and brand-building activities.

Oversee corporate tie-ups, insurance empanelment, and public relations.
