Job Description

The job of a general nurse involves caring for patients in wards. Specialty nurses are involved in assisting the nursery for doctors or newborns in the operation theater. A specific day in the nurse's life begins. As she reports for duty she works more than the night nurse, who helps her with various patients.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients.

Assist with labor and delivery, including monitoring fetal development and providing physical and emotional support to mothers.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Monitor patient vitals and maintain accurate medical records.

Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and postnatal care.

Support patients in managing chronic conditions and coordinate continuous care.

Perform regular health assessments and screenings.

Work collaboratively with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care.

Promote health and wellness within the community through education and outreach programs.
