The GIS Analysis team is young and dynamic. Job Summary

At Global Design Center (GDC), Bengaluru, we are looking for motivated, experienced individuals who can be part of the GDC GIS team. The role – GIS Analyst-FME, is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for the right person to gain experience in GIS analysis and implementing GIS solutions across multiple disciplines and through all parts of a project’s life cycle. Whether it is basic constraints mapping for our environment teams, maintaining a web GIS, managing a large-scale data capture project or working on a High-Speed Rail / Highways or other Infrastructure projects.

The GIS Analyst-FME role is varied with requirements changing month on month. Individuals who have been part of teams with ownership of the delivery of projects are preferred. Knowledge and hands on experience of Quality, resource, project, process management is a pre-requisite for the position. This role will suit an individual who has experience of GIS in engineering and environmental projects.

Education

Either a Degree in GIS / Engineering, or Degree in Geomatics or equivalent.

Technical

Minimum 8 years of professional experience. Out of which minimum 2 years of experience in
delivering successful projects.

Essential
Strong FME skills, ability to design and implement workbenches to automate analysis routines, convert CAD data.
Should be certified FME developer.
Working experience in survey support – Survey123, ArcGIS Collector.
Extensive knowledge of ArcGIS Desktop tools to apply on different GIS tasks.
Knowledge of GIS Map production and knowledge of survey standards and symbols for a standard representation if Maps.
Able to perform QC/QA of the GIS tasks and thorough knowledge of the mapping and survey standards.
Should have knowledge working with different clients (External / Internal).
Should able to manage assigned tasks with limited guidance and by maintaining a very high-quality standard.

Desirable
Using Python to automate project workflows.
FME, Python/ Matlab, GDAL,HTML scripting and other automation tool development.
Sound deployment of ArcGIS Online and Collector Applications experience with mobile GIS solutions.
Experience working with various ESRI API’s such as Arcpy, Web API’s and ArcGIS Python API to automate workflows and data migration
Experience using .NET, HTML5 and JavaScript
Experience working with enterprise databases such as Microsoft SQL Server
Thorough knowledge and experience in process mapping

Proactively engage with Clients, and demonstrable Leadership experience, collaborative working.
Experience of working in a multinational consultancy

Responsible for the team.

Working to set budgets and timescales. Able to assess results and draw conclusions/make
recommendations. Gain knowledge of department management
