River Survey Team Leader
No. of Post : 01
Qualification : Bachelors in Civil Engineering/ Water Resources Engg/ Geography/Environmental Science/ Remote Sensing-GIS/ Agriculture Engg. Preference will be given to degree candidates having Master Degree who have extensive experience in surveying rivers.
Experience : Three (3) years experience in River Surveys or Expeditions is a must/Familiarity with Survey Instrument and other sophisticated instruments/High level of proficiency in GIS/Total Station/Survey levels, ADCPs/Experience rigging boats for surveys/Additional experience modelling is a must/Ability to troubleshoot technical problems/prior experience handling survey boats/Familiarity with Basic concepts of Hydrology and Channel Hydraulics.
Emolument : Rs.35,000/-
Location : Shillong ( will Involve extensive touring within the state)
Water Quality Technical Officer
No. of Post : 01
Qualification : Bachelors in Civil Engineering/ Water Resources Engg/ Environmental Chemistry/ Chemistry/ Hydrology/ Biology/Agriculture Engg or other chemistry related technical field Preference will be given to candidates who have Master Degree and have both lab as well as field experience.
Experience : Two (2) years experience in Water Quality Testing/Familiarity with Field Survey Methodologies/Strong Understanding of Water Quality Parameters and their impact on health or Environment/Experience in working a lab environment or has experience setting up a lab/Experience with building or designing with grey water or sewage treatment plants

Location : Shillong ( will Involve extensive touring within the state)
Data Management Officer
No. of Post : 01
Qualification : Bachelors in Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Electronics Engineering/IT/Computer Science/BCA/MCA or other related Technical field. Preference will be given to candidates having Master Degree with prior Data and Knowledge management experience
Experience : Management /Extensive Knowledge of Database/Handling of different data formats and data models/Ability to pick up new concepts easily/proactive and innovative in problem solving approach/Ability to support computer code driven modelling and stimulation exercises/Ability to conduct statistical analysis/GIS Data Management experience
Emolument : Rs.25,000/-
Location : Shillong (will involve extensive touring within the state)
Age Limit : Candidates should not be less than 18 years and not more than 27 years as on 1st Jan 2016
Selection Procedure : Candidates must appear for Written Test/Interview at his/her own expenses.

About Company
The Department of Water Resources was created out of the Directorate of Irrigation, which was under the Agriculture Department, vide Govt. Notification No.CA.24/2009/25 dated the 25th Aug 2009 This Deptt.is headed by the Chief Engineer. Earlier, the Organizational setup, prior to the creation of the additional technical posts, consists of the Chief Engineer and Additional . Chief Engineer (M&E), being assisted by an Executive Engineer, at the State level, two Superintending Engineers at the Circle level and seven Executive Engineers at the Division / District level. There are 13 Sub-Divisions under the seven Divisional offices in the State. However, during 2010, another 10 (ten) additional posts were created .
