Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development Support:

Assist senior engineers in designing mechanical systems, components, and products using industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.

Support the creation of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation required for project execution.

Participate in design reviews, helping to identify potential issues and proposing design improvements.

Help develop and modify 3D models, assemblies, and simulations to ensure mechanical systems meet functional, safety, and regulatory standards.
Prototyping and Testing:

Assist in the assembly and fabrication of mechanical prototypes, including conducting hands-on work in the lab or workshop.

Support the testing of mechanical components and systems to ensure they function as intended, collecting data and analyzing test results.

Help design and execute experiments to evaluate the performance, durability, and efficiency of mechanical products and systems.

Document test results, including the identification of issues, providing recommendations for design revisions and improvements.
Analysis and Simulations:

Assist in performing simulations and analyses (e.g., stress analysis, thermal analysis, fluid dynamics) using software tools such as ANSYS, COMSOL, or MATLAB.

Analyze performance metrics of mechanical systems and components, identifying areas where efficiency or reliability could be improved.

Collaborate with senior engineers to interpret simulation results and apply findings to enhance design and performance.

Conduct material property analysis and assist in the selection of appropriate materials for specific engineering applications.
Project Coordination and Documentation:

Support the coordination of mechanical engineering projects, ensuring that all tasks are completed according to schedule and within budget.

Assist in maintaining project documentation, including design calculations, technical specifications, and progress reports.

Help in preparing presentations and technical reports for both internal and client-facing meetings.

Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (electrical, civil, etc.) to ensure a holistic approach to system design and integration.
Quality Control and Compliance:

Ensure all mechanical designs, products, and components meet quality standards, safety regulations, and industry guidelines.

Support the implementation of quality assurance procedures, including inspections, audits, and reviews of materials and processes.

Help ensure that the mechanical systems adhere to relevant environmental and sustainability standards.

Assist in verifying that all components and systems meet required industry standards, including ISO, ASTM, and other regulatory standards.
Continuous Learning and Development:

Participate in training sessions and workshops to expand technical knowledge in areas such as advanced materials, manufacturing techniques, and cutting-edge mechanical design practices.

Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering.
