Roles and Responsibility: for Graduate Engineer Trainee - GET - Design and Detailing
Make part model & assemblies
Make part drawing, assembly drawing & fabrication drawing
Analyzing data and writing report according to specification.
Minimizing errors in drawing & suggesting improvements.
Assemblies of columns, Trusses and industrial structure’s drawings
Completing all task set by the supervisor and assisting wherever possible.
Requirements & Skills:
B.E./B.Tech/Diploma-(Mechanical)
Relevant degree in engineering.
Analytical and critical thinking skills.
Proficiency in mathematics.
Experience in technical field.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Drafting & Detailing:
-
Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or Tekla (depending on department).

Convert conceptual sketches and engineering inputs into accurate engineering drawings.
-
Create general arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, and assembly layouts.
-
Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry codes, standards, and company practices.
2. Design Support:
-
Assist senior design engineers in developing and modifying engineering designs.
-
Participate in design calculations, component selection, and drawing revisions.
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect necessary data for accurate designs.
3. Documentation:
-
Prepare and maintain drawing logs, Bill of Materials (BOM), part lists, and design reports.
-
Ensure version control and proper storage of design files in designated folders or document management systems.
-
Assist in preparing technical documentation and installation manuals (if applicable).
4. Quality Checks:
-
Review drawings for dimensional accuracy, material specifications, tolerances, and detailing completeness.

Follow internal quality control (QC) checklists before submission for review or approval.

Correct errors based on feedback from design reviewers or QA/QC engineers.
5. Learning & Development:
-
Undergo regular technical training on design principles, drafting tools, industry standards, and project workflows.

Stay updated with new design tools, materials, and technologies relevant to the assigned projects.

Seek feedback from mentors and actively work on skill improvement.
6. Coordination & Teamwork:
-
Work closely with fellow trainees, designers, and senior engineers to complete assignments within deadlines.

Attend project meetings, team discussions, and reviews as required.

Coordinate with other departments (e.g., production, procurement, project) for project execution inputs.
