Job Description

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

Prepares working plans and detail drawings from sketches, notes and verbal information supplied by engineers and designers.
Required to utilize recognized systems of symbols, legends, shadings and lines having specific meanings in construction drawings.
Must have a working knowledge of the terms and procedures of the industry.
Utilize conventional drafter and CAD techniques.
Utilize advance techniques like rapid prototyping, reverse engineering, data analytics.
Recurring work is assigned in general terms; unfamiliar assignments include information on methods, procedures, sources of information and precedents to be followed.
Revisions to existing drawings or computer models assigned with a verbal explanation of the desired results; more complex revisions are produced from sketches, computer models or specifications which clearly depict the desired product
Promotes quality and customer service.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
May perform work in other classifications when incidental work is necessary for the accomplishment of the work assignment. Significant work in another job classification may be required if accompanied by any wage adjustments applicable

May perform work of a higher type than listed a portion of the time, when assignment serves as a step to develop the skill required to handle all the duties of the higher graded job.
Accountable For:

The proper use of tools and/or equipment commonly used in the Product Design & Development field.
The proper use of tools and/or equipment commonly used in Engineering Projects
Completing all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
Timely completion and accuracy of all departmental work.
Dealing with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
Adherence to established company safety policies and good industrial and office safety practices.
Compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures and Personnel policies and procedures.
Having the ability to work well under pressure.

Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
Must meet and maintain security requirements including clearance eligibility.
