Job Description
Fresh Engineer with BE/B.Tech in Aeronautical/ Mechanical Engineering for Aircraft Structural Design.
BAIL offers Industrial Internship opportunities in Aircraft structural design for fresh engineering graduates from Aeronautical/aerospace /Mechanical engineering. Selected candidates will be provided with professional training in Aircraft structural design, stress analysis and structural testing. Candidates have to undergo full-time training at BAIL premises, Aerospace Tech Park, KIADB Industrial Area.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Training and Learning
-
Undergo structured training in technical, operational, and functional domains.
-
Learn about manufacturing processes, design standards, safety protocols, and quality assurance techniques.
-
Study machine manuals, process documents, drawings, and standard operating procedures.
2. Project Assistance
-
Support the engineering team on live projects related to production, testing, quality, or design.
-
Assist in developing prototypes, performing trials, and gathering technical data.
-
Document findings and provide suggestions for performance improvements.
3. Process Monitoring
-
Monitor and report on machine operations, performance, or productivity parameters.
-
Identify areas of process improvement and suggest modifications under guidance.
-
Learn and apply lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma (as applicable).
4. Quality Control
-
Participate in inspections and quality checks under the quality control team.
-
Help investigate non-conformities and root causes.
-
Assist in preparing quality documentation and compliance reports.
5. Design & Documentation
-
Support CAD drafting, 2D/3D modeling, or documentation in engineering design departments.
-
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and engineering change requests.

Learn to use design software tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar (as per department).
6. Maintenance Support
-
Observe and assist with preventive and breakdown maintenance tasks.

Learn troubleshooting techniques and help maintain records of machine downtimes.
-
Maintain spare parts inventory and logs under supervision.
7. Reporting and Communication
-
Maintain daily learning logs, performance reports, and attendance.
-
Submit weekly progress updates to the assigned mentor or supervisor.
-
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams for successful completion of assigned tasks.
