Job Description
Position Overview:
The Graduate Engineer Trainee - GET – Project / Design / Quality Control - QC role is an entry-level engineering position designed to provide fresh engineering graduates with hands-on exposure to different technical functions within the organization. The candidate will work under the guidance of senior engineers and managers, gaining practical experience in project execution, product/system design, and quality control processes.
The role aims to build technical expertise, develop problem-solving skills, and prepare the trainee for a permanent position in their chosen specialization after successful completion of the training period.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Department Responsibilities
-
Assist in planning, scheduling, and monitoring of engineering projects.

Support in preparing project documentation, reports, and progress updates.

Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams for timely completion of project milestones.

Assist in material requisition, inspection, and inventory management for project execution.

Participate in site visits to monitor project activities and ensure compliance with project specifications.
2. Design Department Responsibilities
-
Support in preparing engineering drawings, 3D models, and design layouts using CAD software.

Assist in product or system design, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

Work on design modification, prototyping, and testing of components.

Collaborate with senior designers to develop Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation.

Study engineering specifications and suggest improvements in design efficiency.
3. Quality Control (QC) Responsibilities
-
Assist in inspecting raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.

Support in preparing inspection reports, test certificates, and quality records.

Learn and apply various quality control tools and techniques (e.g., 5S, Six Sigma basics).

Participate in root cause analysis for defects and suggest corrective/preventive actions.

Ensure adherence to ISO standards, quality norms, and safety guidelines.
4. Cross-Functional Learning

Rotate between different departments during the training period to gain holistic knowledge.

Participate in training sessions, workshops, and mentorship programs.

Work on live projects under supervision to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges.
