Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Support and Training
-
Assist in the daily operations of the painting line, including surface preparation, masking, priming, and final painting of components.

Learn the fundamentals of spray painting, powder coating, and other finishing techniques.

Support the team in loading/unloading components on paint jigs and conveyors.
-
Observe and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the paint booth and drying oven operations.
2. Quality Inspection and Defect Identification
-
Learn and assist in the visual inspection of painted parts for defects such as runs, sags, orange peel, or overspray.

Help in measuring paint thickness and coating quality using tools like DFT meters or gloss meters.

Support documentation of inspection results and rejection reports under the guidance of QA personnel.
3. Surface Preparation and Safety Practices
-
Understand and follow the correct surface treatment process such as degreasing, shot blasting, or phosphate coating prior to painting.

Comply with safety protocols related to handling paints, solvents, and chemicals (e.g., using PPE like masks, gloves, goggles).

Learn safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with environmental standards.
4. Maintenance and Housekeeping
-
Help maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the painting area.

Assist in basic maintenance tasks such as filter changes, nozzle cleaning, and booth upkeep.

Report any malfunction or unusual observation to the supervisor.
5. Documentation and Reporting
-
Record production data such as batch numbers, shift timings, defects, paint usage, and machine downtime.

Participate in daily production meetings and provide updates on assigned tasks.

Assist in preparing basic reports for analysis or audit purposes as required.
