Mode of Selection : Candidates will be short-listed for the Paper-ll /Skill Test on the basis of their performance in Paper-I. Paper-ll/Skill Test will only of qualifying nature. The cut-offs in Paper-I and qualifying marks in Paper-ll/Skill Test may be different for vacancies against each post will be fixed at the discretion of the A & N Administration/Commission. Candidates for each Vacancy will be finally selected based on their performance in Paper-I, subject to their meeting basic qualifying standards fixed in Paper-II and Skill Test.
Scheme of Examination: The Examination will consist of two parts, viz.:- Part-I: - Written Examination :- The written Examination will consist of (Paper-I) objective type paper and (Paper-II) descriptive type as shown below:
Part –I- Written Examination
(Paper–I):- Subject of the Written Examination, time allowed, and maximum marks for each subject will be as follows:-
I General Intelligence& Reasoning (25 questions)- 25 Marks
II. Numerical Aptitude (25 questions)- 25 Marks
III General English (50 questions)-50 Marks
IV General Awareness (50 questions) – 50 Marks
(Paper-II) : Written Examination
Short Essay/Letter in English or Hindi language – 50 Marks
Centre of Examination: The Examination will be held at Port Blair, Ferrargunj, Hut Bay, Car Nicobar, Kamorta, Campbell Bay, Rangat, Mayabunder and Diglipur. The applicants should indicate the Centre from which he/she proposes to appear in the written examination, in the space provided in the Application Form. No request for change of Examination Centre will be entertained later
