Rajkiya Kanya Mahavidyalya (RKMV) Shimla is the only Government Girls College in Himachal Pradesh. It came into being in 1977 when erstwhile RPCSDB College (Est. 1945) was taken over by Himachal Pradesh Government and converted into Girls College. The College has not only endeavoured to excel academically, it has also made its own name in the sphere of sports, games and co-curricular activities.
