Job Description
Position Summary:
We are looking for a knowledgeable and innovative Hardware Engineer to join our engineering team. As a Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting electronic hardware components and systems that meet product specifications and customer requirements.
Your role will involve working closely with software engineers, product managers, and manufacturing teams to create high-quality hardware solutions that are reliable, efficient, and cost-effective. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in circuit design, prototyping, troubleshooting, and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Hardware Design and Development:

Design and develop electronic hardware including printed circuit boards (PCBs), integrated circuits, power supplies, and other components using CAD and EDA tools such as Altium Designer, Eagle, or OrCAD.

Create detailed schematics and layout designs for new hardware products or enhancements to existing products.

Collaborate with software engineers to ensure hardware and firmware compatibility and performance optimization.

Conduct design reviews and ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
2. Prototyping and Testing:

Build and test prototypes to validate design concepts and functionality.

Use diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers to troubleshoot and debug hardware issues.

Perform thermal, signal integrity, and reliability testing to ensure product durability.

Document test results and recommend design modifications when necessary.
3. Production and Manufacturing Support:

Work with manufacturing teams to transfer designs into production, ensuring manufacturability and quality.

Develop and maintain bill of materials (BOM) and hardware specifications.

Identify and resolve hardware-related production issues and support root cause analysis.

Participate in supplier selection and evaluation to ensure component quality and availability.
4. Documentation and Compliance:

Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including design specifications, testing protocols, user manuals, and maintenance guides.

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as CE, FCC, RoHS, and others applicable to hardware products.

Assist in obtaining certifications and approvals necessary for product launch.
5. Collaboration and Innovation:

Work closely with cross-functional teams including software, mechanical, and quality assurance engineers to deliver integrated product solutions.

Stay updated with emerging technologies, materials, and industry trends to recommend improvements or new approaches.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance, reduce costs, and increase reliability.
