Position Overview: We are looking for a highly motivated Hardware R and D Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing hardware components and systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in component selection, PCB design using tools such as OrCAD and Altium, and will be proficient in PCB testing and component-related calculations. With a focus on innovation and quality, the Hardware R and D Engineer will play a key role in the development of cutting-edge hardware solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Component Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate components based on performance, cost, reliability, and availability to meet system requirements.

• PCB Design: Design high-quality printed circuit boards (PCBs) using tools such as OrCAD and Altium. Ensure designs meet industry standards and are optimized for manufacturability and performance.

• PCB Testing & Debugging: Conduct thorough testing of PCB designs to ensure they meet the required specifications and performance standards. Troubleshoot and debug PCBs as necessary, using various testing equipment.

• Mathematical Modeling & Calculations: Apply strong mathematical knowledge to model electrical systems, calculate component values, and ensure proper operation of circuits.

• Prototyping: Work with the prototyping team to build and validate hardware prototypes.

• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including software engineers, mechanical engineers, and product managers to integrate hardware solutions into larger systems.

• Documentation: Create detailed design documents, test reports, and ensure proper documentation of all design and testing processes.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all hardware designs adhere to industry standards for quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: 2-5 years of experience as a Hardware Engineer, focusing on hardware design, testing, and validation.

• Tools: Strong proficiency in OrCAD and Altium for PCB design and schematic capture.

• Testing & Debugging: In-depth knowledge of PCB testing techniques, including the use of oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other electronic testing equipment.

• Mathematics: Strong understanding of circuit analysis, electrical principles, and mathematical modeling, with the ability to perform complex calculations for component sizing and performance evaluation.

• Component Knowledge: Deep understanding of electronic components, their characteristics, and how to select them for specific applications.

• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve hardware issues efficiently.

• Teamwork & Communication: Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team and effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
