Able to plan, execute, guide on configuring and setting up critical medical devices into hospital network. Has to spear head all the IT related issues, troubleshooting and plan/suggest for upgrade or to best utilize the current infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Providing technical support to hospital staff and researchers, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring systems are functioning correctly.
- Network Infrastructure: Designing, implementing, and maintaining the hospital's network infrastructure, including managing network systems, data security, and ensuring reliable connectivity.
- System Management: Managing various IT systems, including electronic medical records (EMR), patient administrative systems, and other specialized software.
- Technology Implementation: Identifying, evaluating, and implementing new technologies to enhance the hospital's operations, improve patient care, and reduce costs.
- Data Management: Ensuring the security and integrity of patient data and other sensitive information, adhering to HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
- IT Policy and Procedure Development: Developing and implementing IT policies and procedures that align with hospital objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Staff Training: Providing training on new systems and applications to hospital staff to ensure effective use and adoption.
- Budget Management: Developing and managing the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.
- Security and Risk Management: Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect the hospital's IT infrastructure and data from cyber threats and other risks.
- Vendor Management: Managing relationships with IT vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely support and service.
