Head of Financial Accounting

Overview: Seeking an experienced Head of Financial Accounting with expertise in taxation, compliance, and financial reporting. Strong background in TDS, TCS, income tax filing, and liaison with regulatory authorities essential. Familiarity with ICFAI, MCA, ROC, and CWA regulations desired. Proactive leader needed to manage teams, collaborate with consultants, and provide strategic financial guidance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial accounting and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Lead and mentor finance professionals to achieve departmental objectives.
• Manage preparation and filing of TDS, TCS, and income tax returns.
• Respond to income tax notices, queries, and assessments.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct meetings with consultants, legal advisors, and regulatory authorities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Develop and implement internal controls and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or professional accounting certification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in financial accounting, taxation, and compliance roles.
• Thorough understanding of TDS, TCS, income tax laws, and compliance requirements.
• Experience in responding to income tax notices and resolving disputes.
• Knowledge of ICFAI, MCA, ROC regulations.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
