Job Description

Lead & Drive R&D functions of the company (Synthesis R&D as well as Formulation R&D)
Synthesis R&D work in Domain of 'Epoxy Resins, Curing Agents, Reactive Diluents, Multi-functional Epoxy Resins & Allied Thermoset Polymer chemistry'. Formulation R&D will encompass work in the Area of Epoxy formulations, for diverse Industrial Applications, such as:- Adhesives, Electricals, Electronics, Civil, Surface Coatings & Composites.
Strategy & Planning for development of New Products/chemistries.
'Scaling-up' of Product developed in R&D upto 'Pilot Plant & Production'
Assist in Process Development & Smooth Transfer of Technology from R&D to Production
Execute continuous Product-improvements & Cost optimisations, to meet customer application requirements.
Strong in Patent Reviews, Literature Search, Technical Surveys.
Executing Thorough Technical & Feasibility Assessment for New Projects/ Products undertaken for development.
Implimentation of Appropriate systems for safeguard of Technology & building a robust documentation process.
Driving a culture of innovation in R&D wherein ideas are openly shared
Experience / Exposure
Strong experience in domain of Polymers, & in particular Thermoset Polymers, such as Epoxy Resins.
Sound background of Pilot-plant operations, process scale-up & scale down.
Strong understanding of EHS standards, HAZOP methodology and implementation
Strong exposure of Polymer characterisation & Testing techniques such as- DSC, TGA, FTIR, GC, HDT, UV Spectrophotometry, HPLC, Rheometry, etc
Hands-on expereience of working with different instruments such as- Auto-Titrators, Karl-Fischer, Viscometers, UTM, Tan Delta, Arc Resistance, etc
Understanding of regulatory frame work pertaining to IP protection, Technology licencing, Patents, & Trade-marks
