Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facility Operations Management:

Oversee daily operations of the gym or health club, including opening/closing procedures, staff scheduling, cleanliness, and equipment functionality.

Ensure that all safety, sanitation, and health standards are followed in compliance with local regulations and internal policies.

Maintain gym equipment through routine checks and coordinate repairs or replacements with vendors.
2. Staff Management & Leadership:
-
Recruit, train, and manage gym staff including personal trainers, front desk personnel, cleaners, and support staff.

Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching or development opportunities.

Schedule staff shifts to ensure smooth coverage across the facility, especially during peak hours.
3. Client Engagement & Customer Service:

Promote an excellent member experience through responsive service, friendly engagement, and high-quality program delivery.

Resolve customer complaints or concerns professionally and efficiently.

Monitor and improve customer retention by engaging members and gathering feedback regularly.
4. Program Development & Implementation:

Design, schedule, and promote fitness programs and wellness classes (e.g., yoga, Zumba, HIIT, strength training).

Coordinate with personal trainers and group instructors to ensure diverse and appealing class offerings.

Monitor program effectiveness, attendance trends, and client satisfaction.
5. Sales & Membership Management:

Drive gym membership growth through promotions, local outreach, and client referrals.

Oversee the membership database, renewals, cancellations, and billing with accuracy.

Prepare and analyze membership and revenue reports to track performance against targets.
6. Marketing & Community Engagement:

Collaborate with the marketing team or handle in-house promotions, including social media, events, and campaigns.

Organize fitness events, member challenges, open houses, or wellness fairs to build engagement.

Build relationships with local businesses, corporates, and community organizations for partnership opportunities.
7. Financial & Budget Oversight:

Manage the gym’s operational budget including expenditures on equipment, salaries, maintenance, and promotions.

Track revenue, profit margins, and cost efficiencies on a monthly and quarterly basis.

Submit regular financial and performance reports to senior management or owners.
8. Compliance & Risk Management:

Ensure all facility practices comply with health, legal, and safety standards.

Conduct emergency drills and safety training for staff.
-
Maintain documentation of licenses, insurance, waivers, and maintenance logs.
