Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Field Data Collection:

Conduct field visits to various locations (e.g., rural or urban areas, local health centers, or communities) to collect health-related data.

Gather health data on various topics, including but not limited to, vaccination rates, maternal and child health, sanitation, disease prevalence, nutrition, and general health indicators.

Interview community members, healthcare providers, and local leaders to obtain relevant health information, ensuring ethical standards and confidentiality.

Conduct regular surveys, assessments, and focus group discussions to monitor the health status of the population and specific at-risk groups.
2. Data Management and Reporting:

Accurately record and enter health data into databases, spreadsheets, or other systems as per the NGO’s data collection protocols.

Ensure that all data is organized, accurate, and timely for analysis by health program managers and decision-makers.

Prepare and submit daily, weekly, or monthly reports based on field data, highlighting key findings, trends, and health concerns in the community.

Maintain confidentiality and data privacy as required by the organization’s data protection policies.
3. Community Engagement and Health Education:

Build strong relationships with local community members, including families, health workers, and community leaders, to ensure cooperation and accurate data collection.

Promote health awareness by educating communities on common health issues, preventive measures, and available health services.

Help facilitate health education sessions or community outreach activities, such as awareness campaigns for hygiene, nutrition, or vaccination.
4. Collaboration and Coordination:

Coordinate with other health officers, field staff, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistency in data collection methods and reporting across multiple sites.

Liaise with local healthcare providers and government health officials to ensure the accurate flow of information and collaboration on health initiatives.

Assist in monitoring program implementation by ensuring health interventions are delivered effectively and data is collected for ongoing evaluation.
5. Program Monitoring and Evaluation:

Support the evaluation of health programs by providing accurate field data, assessing program impact, and identifying areas for improvement.

Monitor the progress of ongoing health initiatives and provide feedback to the management team based on field observations.

Contribute to the development of health program strategies by providing data-driven insights and identifying key health trends in the community.
6. Travel and Flexibility:

Be available for daily fieldwork as required, including travel to remote areas or various locations within the project’s designated geographical region.

Flexibility in working hours, especially during peak health interventions or emergency situations.
7. Additional Responsibilities:

Participate in training sessions to improve knowledge and skills related to data collection techniques, health topics, and NGO operations.

Assist in the development of data collection tools and methodologies.

Provide assistance during emergency health situations or outbreaks by collecting urgent data for health response teams.
-
Ensure all health protocols and guidelines are followed in the field, including personal protective measures when necessary.
