Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

Production and Assembly Support:
-
Assist in the basic assembly of weighing machine components such as platforms, displays, sensors, and load cells.

Provide support in mechanical fitting, screwing, wiring, and alignment tasks as instructed by technicians.
-
Organize tools, components, and fasteners for efficient workflow on the assembly line.
-
Prepare parts and subassemblies for final product assembly.
-
Ensure all work areas are kept tidy and free from obstructions.

Material Handling and Inventory:
-
Receive and transport raw materials, semi-finished goods, and tools within the manufacturing facility.
-
Load and unload materials manually or using trolleys and carts as required.
-
Keep track of small inventory items like screws, cables, nuts, and washers.
-
Inform supervisors of shortages or damaged stock.
-
Label and sort components as per their type, size, or usage category.
-

Machine Testing Assistance:
-
Support technicians during pre-dispatch quality checks and calibration.
-
Place weights or test loads on machines to assess accuracy and stability.
-
Assist in identifying issues such as unbalanced loads, display malfunctions, or electrical faults.
-
Clean and prepare weighing machines after testing.
-
Learn basic troubleshooting steps and help perform minor repairs or adjustments.

Packaging and Dispatch Support:
-
Help in packaging finished machines using protective materials such as bubble wrap, foam, and cardboard.
-
Apply stickers, barcodes, and instruction manuals as per standard procedure.
-
Seal cartons and crates using tape, nails, or straps depending on the size of the machine.
-
Move packed items to the loading area for dispatch or storage.
-
Maintain cleanliness and order in the packaging area.
-

Workshop Maintenance and Cleanliness:
-
Keep floors clean and free from oil spills, dust, or metal debris.
-
Regularly clean workbenches, tools, and equipment.
-
Dispose of waste materials and scrap in designated bins or containers.
-
Report any broken tools or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
-
Follow daily cleaning routines as part of a larger team effort.
-

Safety and Compliance:
-
Follow all workplace safety protocols including the use of PPE (gloves, safety shoes, goggles).
-
Understand the safe handling of tools and electrical components.
-
Comply with factory regulations regarding machine operation zones and hazardous areas.
-
Participate in safety drills and routine equipment checks.
-

Team Collaboration and Flexibility:

Cooperate with fitters, electricians, welders, and other production staff.

Be open to working in different departments as needed (assembly, testing, packaging).

Support engineers during the development of new models or prototypes.
-
Take feedback constructively and demonstrate a willingness to improve skills.
