Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Helper to assist with day-to-day operations at our retail paint shop, Roshma Paints. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the shop’s regular functions including loading and unloading paint products, organizing inventory, packing and picking orders, and assisting in deliveries to customers when needed.
This role involves physical labor and requires someone who is active, disciplined, and capable of handling paint containers and other related items. The helper must ensure that products are handled safely and shop areas are kept clean and organized. Candidates should be able to follow instructions and work well with the shop staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Assistance:
- Greet customers promptly and professionally upon entering the store.
- Assist customers in locating products within the store.
- Provide basic information about paint types, color options, finishes, and application methods.
- Help carry or transport heavy paint cans or materials to customer vehicles when necessary.
- Assist in answering phone calls and taking messages when required.
Paint Mixing and Preparation Support:
- Aid senior staff in mixing and tinting paint using color-matching systems and equipment.
- Label paint cans accurately with customer names, formulas, and product details.
- Clean and maintain tinting machines, shakers, and mixers after use.
- Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials in accordance with safety protocols.
- Learn and follow store-specific processes for paint matching and mixing.
Stock Management and Merchandising:
- Receive and unpack paint and supply deliveries.
- Stock shelves and rotate products to maintain freshness and avoid expired inventory.
- Monitor inventory levels and inform supervisors of low stock items.
- Organize backroom storage to ensure accessibility and cleanliness.
- Assist in setting up in-store displays and promotional signage.
Store Cleanliness and Maintenance:
- Sweep, mop, and maintain the cleanliness of the sales floor and storage areas.
- Dispose of empty paint cans, packaging, and other waste materials appropriately.
- Clean tools, brushes, and equipment after use.
- Restock cleaning and safety supplies such as gloves, goggles, and wipes.
Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Understand and adhere to chemical handling and storage regulations.
- Report any spills, accidents, or unsafe conditions to the store manager immediately.
- Maintain familiarity with material safety data sheets (MSDS) for all products.
Team Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with other team members to fulfill orders and meet customer needs.
- Communicate effectively with paint technicians, cashiers, and delivery personnel.
- Participate in daily opening and closing procedures as needed.
- Assist in special projects such as store audits, inventory counts, or seasonal promotions.
