Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. General Assistance in Production:
-
Assist skilled jewelers and craftsmen in various stages of jewelry production, including designing, shaping, casting, and finishing pieces.

Help in preparing raw materials like gold, silver, diamonds, and gemstones for the manufacturing process.
-
Carry out basic tasks such as cutting, polishing, engraving, and assembling jewelry pieces under supervision.

Assist with the creation of molds, casting, and other basic procedures used in jewelry making.
-
Support in the assembly of small jewelry parts, ensuring precision and quality.
2. Material Handling and Organization:
-
Help manage and organize raw materials, tools, and equipment used in jewelry production, ensuring they are readily available when needed.

Transport raw materials to different areas of the production floor, ensuring materials are safe, stored properly, and easy to access.

Ensure that materials are kept in a safe environment to prevent damage and contamination.

Keep track of inventory levels of materials and assist in stocktaking, alerting supervisors to any shortages.
3. Cleaning and Maintenance:

Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment used in jewelry manufacturing.

Regularly clean and sanitize jewelry-making tools and machinery to ensure they function correctly and safely.

Assist with the overall cleanliness of the factory or workshop by cleaning floors, windows, and surfaces.

Ensure work areas are free of hazards, keeping safety as a priority.
4. Quality Control Assistance:

Help inspect finished jewelry pieces for defects or imperfections, assisting in the overall quality control process.

Help sort and organize jewelry items based on quality standards, ensuring only items meeting company specifications are processed.

Report any issues or discrepancies observed during production to the supervisor or quality control team.
5. Packaging and Dispatch Support:

Assist in the packaging of completed jewelry items, ensuring they are properly protected and ready for shipment.

Help in labeling and sorting items according to orders, ensuring that all items are packaged in line with the company's standards.

Support the team in dispatching finished products to clients, retailers, or stores.
6. Assisting with Machine Setup and Operations:

Help operators and technicians with the setup, adjustment, and basic maintenance of jewelry manufacturing machinery.

Operate basic tools and equipment under supervision, ensuring the safe and efficient production of jewelry pieces.

Assist in running tests on machines to check their functioning and ensure smooth operations.
7. Support to Other Departments:

Assist in other areas of the manufacturing plant as required, including assisting in the assembly line, sorting items, or supporting the logistics team.

Provide general assistance wherever needed in the production process to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
