Waymed Yamuna Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled High-Frequency Generator Design Engineer to develop a high-frequency generator for diagnostic X-ray machines. The ideal candidate will have expertise in power electronics, PCB design, and high-voltage circuit design with a strong background in medical imaging devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high-frequency power supply units (40kHz - 400kHz) for X-ray machines.
  • Work on circuit design, PCB layout, and component selection for high-voltage power electronics.
  • Ensure compliance with medical device standards (IEC 60601, AERB, etc.) for safety and performance.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and software teams to integrate the generator into X-ray systems.
  • Perform testing, debugging, and validation of high-frequency generators.
  • Optimize power efficiency, thermal management, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
  • Support prototyping and manufacturing processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in designing high-frequency power supplies or inverters (preferably for medical or imaging devices).
  • Hands-on experience with MOSFETs, IGBTs, high-voltage transformers, and resonant converters.
  • Proficiency in SPICE simulations, MATLAB, or similar circuit simulation tools.
  • Experience in PCB design software (Altium, Eagle, OrCAD, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of medical safety and regulatory standards (IEC, AERB, ISO 13485).
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize high-power electronics designs.
  • Prior experience in X-ray imaging, radiation physics, or medical device design is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in embedded systems programming (C, VHDL, FPGA, DSPs) for power electronics.
  • Understanding of cooling techniques and thermal management in high-power systems.
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC mitigation techniques in high-frequency power supplies.
  • Prior work in medical device certification processes.
