Job Description
We are seeking to hire a technically skilled database administrator that is capable of holding positions of great responsibility. In this role, you'll be the first respondent to database problems that arise and carry out periodic maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Qualification: BE/BTech/MCA
- Experience: 0 – 2 years
Key Responsibilities
1️⃣ Database Management & Optimization
✅ Install, configure, and manage Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or other databases.
✅ Optimize SQL queries, indexing, partitioning, and database performance tuning.
✅ Monitor database health, storage, and resource utilization.
✅ Plan and implement database upgrades, patches, and migrations.
2️⃣ Backup, Recovery & Security
✅ Implement backup and disaster recovery (DR) plans using tools like RMAN, PgBackRest, or SQL Server Backup.
✅ Ensure data security, encryption, and compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, or other regulations.
✅ Configure user roles, access controls, and authentication mechanisms.
✅ Monitor and troubleshoot database replication, failover, and clustering issues.
3️⃣ High Availability & Scalability
✅ Configure replication, clustering, and load balancing to ensure database reliability.
✅ Implement sharding, caching, and horizontal scaling strategies for large datasets.
✅ Work with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and cloud database solutions (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL, etc.).
4️⃣ Troubleshooting & Support
✅ Diagnose and resolve database performance bottlenecks, deadlocks, and slow queries.
✅ Support developers with query tuning and best practices.
✅ Provide database documentation, guidelines, and training to technical teams.
